5th European Oxygen Steelmaking Conference
The 5th European Oxygen Steelmaking Conference (EOSC 2006) was successfully carried out by Steel Institute VDEh. During the EOSC 2006 BOF steelmakers from 35 nations in North and South America, Asia, Africa and Europe, presented the latest developments in oxygen steelmaking, with an emphasis placed on results arising from both industrial practice and research projects.

Steelmarket China - Forecast until 2006
The growth rates in China are remarkable and the fundamentals for the steelmarket remain robust. China will be a net-importer of steelproducts in 2005. In the light of huge capacity expansions the question arises, wether China will become a net-exporter or not.
